April 2, 2012 New 2012 EDUWORK Trip
On April 7, 2012 — a small group of 7 will again return to the ICC Children’s Village. This will be our fourth trip. We will provide medical services and health education for orphanage children and for people living in the rural mountain area where ICC’s children’s village is located. We’ll provide job skills training to some of the older children living at the ICC Children’s Village and will work on a beautification project for the village. Each participant is required to cover their ticket and personal costs but must also raise $1000 to support ICC’s work or find 3 child sponsors. We’ve seen the difference that ICC makes in the lives of children who might otherwise have no hope. We invite you to join us in the good fight.

January 2, 2012 Our Partnership with International Children’s Care Australia
In April of 2009, a group of 17 high school students and some volunteers arrived at one of International Children’s Care AU’s children’s projects in Central Luzon, Philippines. There were some 30 children there at the time. All of them had come from “tragic” backgrounds: stories of poverty, abuse, abandonment were typical. Yet, there was so much joy and hope at that children’s project that, it seemed, you could even feel it in the sun. ICC provides a home for kids who are in dire need of hope. A house mother and father are helped by an auntie and will have up to 10 children living with them. Children participate in daily worship, help with household chores, attend a Christian school and learn life skills. Most importantly, they learn that they’re value is infinite and that they have a God who loves them forever and unconditionally.
We chose ICC because they believe in local leadership. Who better to care for needy children of the community than the community itself? ICC fights poverty, not only through intervention and care of orphans and abandoned or abused children, but also through food sustenance, health and education and microfinance programs that help individuals to increase their capacity and contribute to the overall health of the community.
Since 2009, we have returned to that orphanage project once a year to visit the children that we’ve come to love and to join International Children’s Care in the good fight — to restore dignity to each of God’s children.
